Leading Learning Management Company Marks 10th Anniversary

Operitel Corporation Enjoys Strong Past, Promising Future

Canadian technology company, Operitel Corporation specializing in Learning Management Systems (LMS), celebrates its official 10-year anniversary this month, the company announced today. The company has shown significant growth, including numerous blue chip clients and satellite offices in China, Australia and Brazil and has been recognized with many awards internationally, most recently Trainingindustry.com's "Top 20 Enterprise Portal Companies" award.

"Operitel's evolution has been very exciting," says Michael Skinner, Chief Executive Officer of Operitel Corporation. "What began as an idea turned very quickly in to a successful, international company. Now in the eighth iteration of our flagship product, LearnFlex™, we've expanded internationally and currently manage the learning records for over 4.1 million learners worldwide. Operitel is the result of the combination of a great idea, perfect timing, hard work and a collection of amazing people. We're very proud.".

As one of the fastest growing LMS providers in North America, Operitel has expanded to provide e-learning solutions to a broader, worldwide market. It opened a satellite office in Australia in 2006, China in 2008, and the newest office branch in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2010.

The company has been recognized with numerous awards, including: TrainingIndustry.com: Top 20 Enterprise Portal Companies (2010); Profit 100: Canada's Fastest Growing Companies (2008); LearnX Awards: Asia-Pacifica e-Learning and Training - Best LMS Hosted Solution (2008); Profit HOT 50 Ranking: Canada's Emerging Growth Companies (2006).

With an average annual growth rate of 34 per cent, and an incredible peak of 292 per cent, Operitel invests 35 per cent of its total revenue into research and development and another 12 per cent goes toward expansion into new markets. In 2009, Operitel's R & D department received proceeds of $ 2.5 million.

"While we're proud of our past, we're always looking to the future," says Skinner. "Operitel built a Best of Breed LMS, but as the market consolidates, LearnFlex™ will evolve beyond traditional LMS definitions, increasing the productivity, collaboration and knowledge of "people" in ways that are becoming technologically possible. We're already moving in this direction with the launch of LearnFlex™ Connect in late 2010, which leverages social media tools to facilitate collaboration among users that is both measurable and secure. Looking at where the industry is headed, the opportunities for even greater growth are exponential."
